Top leaders in business and government will meet at the seventh annual Maryland Hispanic Business Conference that will take place at the BWI Airport Hotel and Conference center on October 15, 2008. Business leaders will network and advance the high growth Hispanic business community through workshops and conferences to equip themselves with the tools needed to grow. A growing number of vendors catering to the fastest-growing segment of Maryland’s business community are sponsoring and exhibiting at the Conference.
2008 Conference Chair Luis Borunda, President and CEO of U.S. Hispanic Youth Entrepreneur Education , says: “The 2008 Maryland Hispanic Business Conference is the premier Hispanic Business event in the state and the entire region. “It serves the now more than 20,000 Hispanic businesses in Maryland and those who want to reach them”- he added. The event is organized as a joint collaboration of the Hispanic Chambers of Commerce of Maryland, Baltimore and Montgomery County, in close cooperation with government agencies that support business and economic development. Since 1997, the number of Hispanic business owners has risen exponentially and continues to grow.
